We’ve teamed up with Sarah from Dukes Avenue to find out how her stay was at The Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. Here’s what she thought about this luxury five-star hotel during her winter escape.
Abu Dhabi in Winter
Abu Dhabi is the perfect destination for a winter holiday. Just an hour and a half drive away from Dubai, it’s the capital of the UAE and one of my favourite places to visit for some much-needed winter sun. Winter is, in fact, the perfect time to visit as it is far too hot from May to September, but perfect in December. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix also takes place at the end of November/beginning December – yet another reason to visit that time of year!
The Emirates Palace
When it comes to accommodation, there is one place to go to experience the epitome of Middle Eastern luxury. The Emirates Palace is a luxury five-star hotel located on the well-known Corniche Road. Whilst the sheer scale of the hotel is luxurious enough, it is one of the few hotels in the world where you can indulge in a cappuccino topped with real 24 carat gold flakes. You’ll also find water in your room that includes gold flakes too (a steal at $50 a bottle…). And if the gold and marble throughout doesn’t quite do it for you, the hotel has a magnificent private beach with beautiful views of the Presidential Palace. It’s the perfect place to unwind during sunset and admire the magnificent views.
As a travel blogger, Sarah has been all over the world experiencing the best of the best. While she was in Abu Dhabi, she also stayed at the Qasr al Sarab, a beautiful five-star resort in Abu Dhabi’s Empty Quarter.
